ABOUT POKHARA

Pokhara, a significant tourism destination in Nepal lies between the Great Himalayas and Mahabarata Range in the central region of the country. It is the only place in the world from where one can enjoy the magnificent view of mountains having elevation above 8000 meters while sitting below 1000 meters above sea level. Out of the 14 highest mountains of the world, which are known as eight thousanders having elevation above 8000 meters, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Manasulu can be seen from Pokhara. It is an enchanting city nestled in a tranquil valley, which is also a gateway to the world famous Annapurna Circuit trekking trail.
     Pokhara, a tourism hub of western Nepal lies in 200km west from Kathmandu, 78 km north from Sunauli, southern border and 72 km south from northern border. It can be accessed from Kathmandu within 25 minutes scenic flights and there are about 30 flights everyday to and fro Kathmandu. Likewise, there are about 20 regular tourist buses everyday. There are also regular buses from Sunauli, Kakadvitta, Nepalgunj, and Mahendranagar .

Climate of Nepal:
      Nepal has four major season.Winter,Spring,Summer and Autumn.
December to February is Winter,March to May is Spring,June to August is Summer and September to November is Autumn.Monsoon are from June till mid of September.

Important to take along on Trek

*Copy of Passport,Travel insurance
*Credit card(in case of evacuation)
*First Aid kit,water bottle,sunscreen,long sleeved shirt,hat, towel,sun glasses,lip blam,insect repellent.
*Warm clothes,thermal underwear,gloves,good hiking boots,sleeping bag,trekking pole(optional).

Acute Mountain Sickness(AMS) and worse.

Ams signs:
Headache,often with loss of appetite,nausea,vomiting,tiredness,dizziness,disturbed sleep.

Prevention:
Ascend slow(300-500m per day.
Don't exert yourself.
Eat high carbohydrate foods.
Drink lot's of water and  garlic soup.



  Annapurna Circuit
     Manang is a major trekking destination and falls on the famad Annapurna Circuit.The remote district with rich culture and nature is visited by more then 15000 trekkers annually.Thorung La pass{5416m} is the highest point on the Annapurna Circuit around the Annapurna massif.

Day 06: Trek to Manang (3,540m)
Day 07: A day to rest and acclimatize in Manang

Day 10: Cross Thoroung La (5,416m) and trek to Mukhtinath (3,800m)
Day 11: Trek to Marpha (2,600m) via Kagbeni and Jomsom
Day 12: Trek to Kalopani (2,010m)
Day 13: Trek to Tatopani (1,190m)
Day 14: Trek to Chitre (2,400m)
Day 15: Trek to Ghorepani (2,750m)
Day 16: Morning hike to Poon Hill (3,210m) and trek to Tikhedhunga (1,460m)

Annapurna Sanctuary( ABC Trek)
Day 1: Drive to Nayapul by car/van/bus then start trek to Ulleri(1960m.) 5 to 6 hours.
Day 2: Trek to Ghorepani (2875m.) -4/5 hours.
Day 3: Trek to Poon Hill for sunrise view then back to Hotel then trek to Tadapani (2650m.) 6-7 hours.
Day 4: Trek to Chhomrong (2170m.)5/6 hours.
Day 5: Trek to Bamboo (2335m.)5 to 6 hours.
Day 6: Trek to Deurali (3210m.) gradual up 4/5 hours.
Day 7: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m.) 5/6 hours.

Day 9: Trek to Jhinu - Hot spring (1780m.)5/6 hours.

Ghorepani(Poon Hill)Trek. 

Ghorepani Ghandruk trek is one of the most popular trek within Annapurna region, which is suitable for those who have short span of time and want to end up with the best reward after Annapurna circuit in ether way. The area consists of various landscapes and flora & fauna. Diversity in ethnicity is another major aspect of this regional trek, cultural activities enrich this area along with natural serenity. The trek is full of watershed areas, dense rhododendron forest, massive clefs and lots of ups& downs. Spectacular sunrise, visit at poon hill is the major attraction.
  Trekking Itinerary 
Day 1: Drive to Nayapul by car/van/bus then start trek to Ulleri(1960m.) 5 to 6 hours.
Day 2: Trek to Ghorepani (2875m.) -4/5 hours.

Day 3: Trek to Poon Hill for sunrise view then back to Hotel then trek to Tadapani (2650m.) 6-7 hours.
Day 4. Trek to Ghandruk(1950m)-3-4 hours.
Day 5. Trek to Nayapul(5-6 hrs walk) and drive Pokhara.

Royal Trek (Annapurna Skyline)

The Royal Trek also famous and easiest treks in Annapurna region.This trek is also known as Annapurna skyline trek.The trek has got its name after Prince Charles entourage had explored this route on 1980.The trek is passes through ridge of the mountain with magnificent view of Dhaulagari,Annapurna,Machapuchhre  and Manaslu range.Thulakot is the best point to see the sunrise, sunset and panoramic view.The trek is also reach in different culture,landscape and vegetation.This trek will be best for the beginners and who have very limited time.The route follows an easy trail exploring the foothills of the Annapurna and the north of Pokhara valley.

01 Day-Drive to Kasseri and trek to Kalika(Thulakot -1250mtrs) 4-5 hrs.
02 Day-Trek to Lipyani or Syaklung-5-6hrs.
03 Day-Trek to Chisapani - 6hrs
04 Day-Trek to Begnas lake (5 hrs) and drive back to Pokhara.

Trekking in Mustang

 The trek to upper Mustang is a rare privilege.You can experience the way of life of the true mountain people,which has not been changed for years because the region has been cut off from rest of Nepal.Until 1950 upper mustang was a separate kingdom and shared boundaries with Nepal.  Mustang is an ancient Kingdom with a colorful past.First mentioned in Ladakhi records in the seventh century,Mustang shared much of its history with tibet to the North.Buddhism came to Mustang at about the same time as to the rest of Tibet.Lo Monthang is capital city of Mustang which built in 1380 A.d by first king of lo.For the lo mangthang we called the first walled city,Lo-mangthang the city within the wall,is one of its kinds.It has its own uniqueness to keep every visitors spellbound.The wall city lo-mangthang was initially built by Ama Pal,a religious king.

Trekking in Everest region 
Everest trek, knows as to have the acquaintance of the world’s highest snow peak Mt.Everest  is no more  an unknown phrase in trekking in the world. After reaching the summit in 1953 by sir Edmund Hillary and     
  Tenzing Norgay it became one of the most popular trekking destinations in the world. People having at least 11-12 days of vacation can stand in front of Mt.Everest.The Trek consists of high Himalayan ranges, Yak &Yeti territories and Sherpa culture. Manaslu Trek
To the east of the Annapurna Range lies the Manaslu range.It was quit and less visitors visit before but number of tourist are increase there and getting popular.The area is bordered by the Budhi Gandaki river to the east and Marshyangdi river to the west.This trek is marked by two cultural highlight.Gorkha the ancestral seat of the Shah Kings and the temple of Manakamana.Since the treks in the Manaslu region originate at around 1000m and reach as 5200m,a trekkers will come across a wide range of flora typical of the mid hills and alpine regions of Nepal.Vegetation found here are the pine and rhododendron,while wildlife includes the barking deer,pika and Himalayan marmots.The region has Tibetan culture influences.
